How To Come To The Island Of Rab

The island of Rab is connected with the mainland in three ways:

• Car-ferry line Jablanac-Misnjak

• Car-ferry line Lopar - Baska

• Boat line Rijeka-Rab-Zadar

Car-Ferry Line Jablanac-Misnjak

The best, the most comfortable and the most frequently used way of coming to the Rab island in case that you are coming in your own car or by bus is a ferry-boat line Jablanac-Misnjak. Jablanac is a small town on the mainland, the nearest to the island of Rab, 105 km away from Rijeka, and only 6 km away from the Adriatic tourist road. The turn from the Adriatic tourist road to Jablanac is visibly marked, and there is a place called Zivi Bunari 2.5 km nearer. Misnjak is a region in the Southeast of Rab. There are roads from Jablanac to Senj, Rijeka and further towards Western and Central Europe. From Eastern Europe and the continental part of Croatia, it is best to use the direction of Zagreb-Karlovac-Rijeka-Senj or Zagreb-Karlovac-Josipdol-Brinje-Vratnik-Senj. The car-ferries go every day 10 to 20 times in both directions, and more if there is a need. In summer rides are more frequent, start at 5³⁰, and finish at 23³⁰, or later in case of traffic jams. The ride on this line is about 15 minutes long.

Car-Ferry Line or Lopar (Rab) - Baska (Krk)

This car-ferry line represents the Northern entrance to the island of Rab. Lopar is a place in the Northern part of the island of Rab, some 15 km away from the center of Rab. The place called Baska is on the southern side of the island of Krk.

How to Find Us on the Island of Rab

The easiest way to reach our house is this: if you come by a car-ferry line Jablanac-Misnjak, from Misnjak you should head in the direction of the center of Rab. You will pass by the places called Barbat and Banjol. Before entering the center, you will come to the business center in Mali Palit. Take the direction of Palit and Kampor, and not of the center. You’ll pass by the bus station on your right side. Go on for another 700 m, until you see a restaurant called Hacienda. By the restaurant turn left and after 100 you’ll pass the restaurant Koralj. Drive on to the first crossroads and turn left. After 100 m you’ll see a grocery’s, where you should turn right to the sea. Our house is on a hill in the woods, on the right from the sea.
